Das Beast !
OR!
The Roland GA-212
I have had this Beast for several months now and I love this thing.
To my ear it sounds as good as any tube amp I own if not better.
Only one niggle that I can think of right off the top of my head, is if the bass is turned up past 5 or 6 and the master volume is turned down to 3 or 4 the bass does get mushy/flabby, since I never play that low any way, Hot Damn!
I will say in the amps favor that I use fairly hot humbucker guitars
With the "Drive" turned up and my pick turned over sideways while I am picking gives me that "Chainsaw From Hell" sound!
Hot Damn, Dark Days Indeed!
If you are looking for a new amplifier, check the Roland GA-212!
Solid State Reliability, Tube Sound Heaven !!!
I do not believe you will find a better amp!
At 200 Watts, this baby indeed goes to "11" and then some.
I am going to have to build me an "Underground Bunker" to be able to play this little beasty at full volume.

Roland GA-212
My New Toy!
A Roland GA-212 Amplifier
I have only had it for two days, lets me tell you "I Am Impressed"
When I turn my Pick "Over On Edge" so that I am scrapping at an angle across the wound strings as I pick them, I am hearing nuances I have never heard before. As I turn the Drive "Up" bit by bit I am getting that Meat Grinder / Gravel Crusher / Chainsaw, Bottom End with High Frequency Overtones that are to Die For!
(Hot Damn) Dark Days Indeed!
Next Comes A TC Electronic BC212, a CX2310 Crossover and a Power Amplifier.
The BC212 is a "Bass" Cab that is "Ported" and has a Tweeter.
The crossover is to let only 500Hz and "Below" go to the BC212.
The Power Amplifier will drive the BC212.
You are gonna need Super Glue to keep you "Socks On".
Considering:
Sub Output from the crossover, to a "Sub-Harmonic Generator" to a "Really Big Ass Subwoofer"
Corny Quotes:
"The Hammer Of God Is Coming Down"
"Thor, The Thunder God, Is In The House"
Or:
"You do not need to know how to Dance, just stand in front of my speakers"
"It will move you"
"In more ways than one"
OK, that is enough of that!
And!
Yes!
I Know!
It Looks Like An Escapee From A Transformers Movie.
Or!
It looks like a "Cube Amp" on Steroids !!!
I know, I have a Micro Cube Amp (Da Red One)!
The Over Muscled Big Brother of the Cube Amp (Why for you pick on my Baby Brother???)
OK, that is enough of that!
I Still Love This Beast Called The GA-212 !!!

Parker, PDF70
Parker PDf70
I bought the PDF70 because it had a good review in Guitar World.
OK, So they reviewed the PDF60.
While the PDF70 is not an absolute "Piece of Crap" it comes Damn Close!
First Off let me say that this is a light guitar, a very thin guitar, decent pickups and looks like a Million Bucks!
It showed up, Wellllllllll, maybe not DOA!
But!!!
The output jack died within a half an hour (Piece Of Crap!)
Machineheads, 0.011 to 0.050 Boomers, No Fit, Holes to DAMN Small (Piece Of Crap!)
The Action was a little high, so I tried to lower it, Half a Dozen Buzzing Frets (Piece Of Crap!)
White Plastic Nut, mine was half melted (Piece Of Crap!)
None of the wrenches that came with the guitar fit any of the Bolts on the guitar (Piece Of Crap!)
Bridge: Height/Tilt adjustment (Piece Of Crap!)
Whammy Bar "Function" (A Really BIG piece Of Crap!)
Guitar World, You Are So Full Of Crap!!!
They actually had the nerve to say it was a nice "Functioning" Whammy Bar
So!
I had to replace the Output Jack on Day One!
I had to Level and File the Frets, Week #1
I had to replace the Nut, Week #1
I had to replace the Machineheads, Week #3
The Whammy Bar is "Absolutly USELESS"
If I even think about using it, the strings go out of tune.
This Is Not A $500 Guitar
This is not even a $300 Guitar
I know, I own close to a dozen Jay Turser's, Every Last One Of The Jay Turser's Are Better Guitars!
Way Better!.
Even the $99 JT-LT Telecaster!
I know these are the "Cheap Chinese Imports"
So are the Jay Turser's
I like the Jay Turser's
The Parker PDF70 Looks Like A Dream, Feels Good in my hands, Has decent pickups.
It Just Kept Pissing Me Off!!!!!!!!
After $200 in Parts and a "Butt Load OF Fixing"
I'll keep it, I'll play it, I might even like it.
BUT!
I Will Never Ever Buy Another Parker!!!!!!
Ever!
What A Joke!

Parker, PDF70 ( !!! WTF !!!! )
Parker, PDF70
Who Knew?
The Parker PDF70 at least acts like it has a Double Action Truss Rod.
Took me a while, I just started cranking on the Truss Rod Nut.
Figured the worst I could do was break the Truss Rod.
Lo and Behold, the D**M Neck started to move towards the strings.
Raised the Bridge, Futzed with the Truss Rod, Futzed with the Bridge!
Just kept Futzing & Futzing, Dang I finally got the strings a fraction of an inch off of the Fretboard.with no buzzing.
If I ever meet the person who designed the Parker Bridge/Whammy Bar,
I Am Gonna Slap Them!!!
Slap Them Silly!
The Allen Wrenches that came with the Parker do "NOT" ! fit any of the bolts that are on the Parker!!!
WTF!!!!!!!
I have a complete set of both SAE and Metric Allen Wrenches.
I have been using these for years, just Fine
Not a one of them fits any bolts on the Parker.
So!
The Standard set do NOT fit!
The Parker issued ones do NOT fit!
I am at a Loss!!!
Parker PDF70
I am of Two Minds about this guitar.
I have been playing it non-stop for a while now.
---
After I "Fixed It"
But I am still Grumping over the Build Quality
---
This Is Just NOT a $500 Guitar!
Me?
"If" - I bought this model again, I would not pay over $300
