Shipping & Handling
Are you kidding!!!
Guitar Fetish, Most eBay vendors and other assorted Online Vendors.
$2.99 for "What Ever"
AND!
$24.99 Shipping & Handling
No!
I personally will not pay the same price for the Item and the same price for S&H.
And I "Most Definitely Will Not" pay MORE for S&H that the Item costs !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Gezz, Get A Grip on Reality!
Yea I know there is a "Sucker Born Every Minute"

Guitar Fetish = Buyer Beware
A Personal Experience: Guitar Fetish/GFS
First let me state that this is not about their "Product"
Although that is what got this all started in this in the first place.
I purchased a "Crunchy Rails" pickup from Guitar Fetish.
When it arrive, I use one of my meters to ohm it out.
My meter reading was telling me that this pickup was 15.02K
Guitar Fetish "Advertises" this pickup at, and I Quote:
"A Scorching 16.2K"
But when I emailed them about this, I get the following:
"Song and Dance"
Well, we cannot guarantee that all of our pickups will measure out exactly and that there will be some variance in coil winding
Ok !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Then "Do Not Claim" that this pickup measures in at 16.2K.
And Then Tell Me to "F'off"
And this is where I want to state:
That "Oops"
You actually have to have something called "Customer Service" before it can be called:
Abysmal, Abhor-able, Crappy, Non-Existent
---
I am not going to tell you not to buy from Guitar Fetish.
This is just a warning, that if "Shit Goes South"
GFS will "Dump You", or is that "Dump On You"
In short: Guitar Fetish = Buyer Beware
---
Both Di'Marzio and Seymour Duncan!
Do guarantee that the pickups are wound to a specific specification.
And will actually apologize for any problems you have with their product.
Now to the part that has made me "Never Want To Buy From Guitar Fetish, Ever Again".
Or in other words, it is "Worth It" to buy Name Brand Pickups from a reliable Manufacturer.
Thanks to Guitar Fetish I have gone back to buying Di'Marzio pickups.
The cost difference is not more that $20.00.
$50 to $60 for the GFS pickup
$70 to $80 for the Di'Marzio's
$80 to $100 for the Seymour Duncan's
---
And while I have several guitars that have GFS pickups in them.
I am not going to go and "Rip Them All Out"
They will all be replaced eventually.
I want to state that when they are replaced I am going to trash them.
I will not resell them, yea I know it is still money in GFS's bank account.
But the way they treated me, One less GFS pickup on the market the better.
---
This experience has lead me to believe that Guitar Fetish/GFS is nothing more that some dude or dudes.
Selling Shit from their spare bedroom., Who's only motto is:
Make A Buck, Make A Buck, Make A Buck !!!!!
And If You Are Not Happy With Us, Who Cares?
We Don't Give A Shit!
Seems that if they wanted to keep me as a "Customer"
Happy or other wise.
They could of done something other that tell me to "Foff"
---
I dug the following up from an online Thesaurus!

eBay Vendors, eBay Sellers
eBay Vendors, eBay Sellers, and Other Assorted "On Line" Vendors
---
"On Line", "On-Line", "OnLine" Vendors
"On Line", "On-Line", "OnLine" Sellers
---
No Customer Relations and/or People skills.
---
Seems most of them would rather tell you to "F-Off".
i.e. eBay vendor, made a "Best Offer" on Friday July 1st.
eBay states: 48 hour response time.
48 Hours Later: Nothing, Nada, Diddly Squat.
Emailed a 2nd time, asking about "Best Offer"
His response was basically "F-Off", It's a holiday
You are selling via an "On Line" venue that is "Open 24-7".
You could not take 5 minutes out of your day to check your emails?.
---
My response was:
Well Hello To You To, Goodbye Forever
-----------------------------------------------
If you are going to be on the "Back Side Of Nowhere"
At least have your email "Auto Respond"
"I'm Out Of It", "OTL till further notice", "Whatever"
---
Or, My All Time Favorite "F-Off" I don't need your business.
---
This is not the first "Vendor" to give me this response.
What ???
People have no "Manners or Common Courtesy" ???
How about respect for your "Possible Customer"
---
My guess is that being an Internet business.
And so far removed from being human.
That "Being Nice" does not apply.
---
Yes, I may be the "A-hole From Hell".
But !!!!!
I am "Spending Money"
You only have to deal with me for a short while.
Probably less that a half of an Hour, One Hour Tops.
Once you get my money, you can call me all sorts on names.
To my face or otherwise.
If to my Face, I will never shop your establishment ever again.
---
But to insult me before I have even made a purchase, seems kinda silly to me.
To insult me while making an enquiry about "Price" or "whatever" my question may be.
Talk about "Shooting Yourself in the Foot".
"I Will Post" About You
"I Will Tell My Friends" About You.
To Boycott, Avoid, Do Not Buy from This "Ever So Happy, Happy, Happy Person"
Or just go to this web site, Web Page and see for yourself.
Apparently they do not need mine or your business!
---
Does being an On Line Vendor mean you do not have to treat potential customers with respect or dignity?
If you had a "Physical Store" I could shop in?
Would you treat me this way, or tell me to get the "F" out of your store.
If all I did was ask a question about the "Item"
Or if you would take a lower price for said "Item"
Every "Store" I have ever been in it has been 50/50.
They would "Bargain"with me or say "Sorry" I cannot do that.
Please Note The "Sorry" Part !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
---
!!! Not A Single One Of Them Has Ever Told Me To "F-Off" !!!
=====================================================================================
A#1 --- Let me say that:
I am not pissed off or mad in any way.
Well, not as much as I used to be anyway!
This has happened so often that it has lost it's shock value.
BUT!
I am still Amazed that these people are still in business.
I doubt any of them get repeat business.
---
My Background in Customer Service.
#1. I grew in a Family Restaurant, 20 Years.
Where I was taught at a very young age how to deal with customers both Good and Bad.
I can only recall where one customer physically attacked me, for that I called the Police.
That one person was banned from ever coming into the restaurant ever again.
#2. 10 Years in Tech Support, Answering phones.
99% of the callers were anywhere from mildly upset,
TO SO F-ing mad I though their heads were going to Explode.
The last 1% were apologizing for calling in.
I had to be "Courteous" to each and every one of them.
For me this was not a problem, I only had to deal with them long enough to get their problem "Fixed"
At least for me it was not personal.
---
I cannot attest to what is going on.
But my take on what I see around me is that "Someone" with a "Day Job"
Decided to go into business for themselves.
That is all very fine!
But of those I have dealt with on a personal level.
Did not have a clue as to what "Customer Service" was or what it meant.
I suppose they were nice enough people, still when things did not go as they wished.
They got Mad.
Fine get mad, just do not take it out on your customers, Past, Present or Future.
A Shop out of the Back Bedroom, Back Porch, Garage, Tool Shed Out Back.
Do not know, Do not Care.
Please read a book, Take a class, Surf the Net for how to Make & Keep Happy Customers.
Please and Thank You.

Squier, Avril lavigne, Telecaster
Squier, Avril lavigne, Telecaster
What all of the SHPR-1, P-Rails, Hot Lead wiring diagrams are for.
I have all ways wanted a Single Humbucker guitar.
I had never heard of Avril Lavinge!
Untill I started searching for a '69 Tele Thineline.
This little bugger caught my eye.
That "Silly Pickguard' has got to go.
I'll Swap it out for a "Black Pearl" Esquire pickguard from WD Msic.
The Tone (Noise Canceling) Coil:
Is going under the pickguard right in front of the Lead pickup.
The body will have to be routed out for the Tone Coil.
The Tone Coil route cavity should be shielded.
The Tone Coil should be darn near touching the back of the pickguard.
The pickguard should have !-!-!_NO_!-!-! shielding on it.
Aluminum, Copper, Spray on, or other wise.
*************************************************************************

*************************************************************************
Other Mods: Maybe?
1... Black Bridge (Hip Shot).
2... Black Tuners.
3... Black Control Plate.
4... Move Output Jack around back with a "Strat" Recessed Jack Plate.
5... Black "Beauty Ring" around Pickup.
--- As I play "Right On Top" of the Bridge pickup.
--- This will keep me from destroying the pickup.
--- I have done so in the past.
--- As I have used these before.
--- they do not affect the sound as much as you would think.
--- because of the "Open Face" design.
